sponsor love

I LOVE Keyka Lou patterns!  I promise I am not saying this because she is my sponsor!  She has, in my humble opinion, the very best bag and accessories patterns out there!  They are so well written, concise, have tons of great pictures and easy to sew!  Michelle is super nice and has answered any questions that I may have had quickly and clearly.
I finally got to sew yesterday and made 3 of these cute pouches from her new keychain clutch pattern!

ADORABLE! I usually don't make things for myself but this one is staying here with me!

I have to give Cally from Calico credit for the awesome fabric combo on this one which I totally stole from her!  Thanks Cally!! :)

These 2 are up in my little shop!

Here are few other bags I have made with her adorable patterns!

Michelle's (keyka lou) blog is jam packed with awesome sewing tips too!  She can tell you how to put in a magnetic snap, give you a comparison of the different types of interfacing and give specific tips and tricks on how to sew specific parts of lots of her patterns!!  I find it an invaluable sewing resource!  Head over and check it out!

the day after

The craft show is finally over!  I feel like I was planning a wedding or something, I was preparing forever! I think it was a success, it is hard to tell.  It was really nice to see people react to my things, something we never really experience when selling online.  I also got to really narrow down who my target market is, which is really helpful and will let me tailor my shop and sewing to fit their needs a little more.  Best of all, I got my name out locally!

Of course, the crayon art folios and crayon wallets were my best sellers!  The baby gift sets also got a lot of attention.  I didn't sell one handbag though which was a little shocking and disappointing, but that just means that the orange bag will be going up in the shop.  :)

Here are a few pictures of my little table!

Thanks so much to all of my bloggy friends for all of your support and advice, it really helped so much!

sew and tell friday: a favorite and a new pattern

I finished quite a few things this week but these are the two that I am most fond of!  I have made quite a few bracelet bags (it is my favorite at the moment) but I have to say that this one is my favorite!!  Heather Bailey fabric never disappoints!

I also tried out a pattern that I haven't made before, the charm school bag.  I cut this bag out this summer but just got around to making it this week.  I think the shape is great and the pleats add a little something extra but I must tell you that all of those pleats took forever!  Not a quick bag to make but a cute result.

Both are Keyka Lou patterns!
I am linking up to Amylouwho's Sew and Tell Friday for the first time!  :)

sewing, sewing, sewing

I am still plugging away getting ready for the craft fair that I am doing on Nov. 6th!  I am trying to do things in an assembly line.  Today I finished up these little mini wallets, they just need their snaps.

I also made a few key fobs...

We are also repainting the outside of our house, and when I say "we" I mean Doug.  I will have pictures soon!  :)
